All bookings made over the phone and by email are provisional. A booking is only confirmed upon payment in full.
Workshops, science shows and planetarium shows are optional activities. To book a workshops, science show and/or planetarium show an entrance ticket is required.
There are four possible ways to buy tickets for exhibitions, workshops, science shows, planetarium shows and special events:
Cash – come to Esplora and pay the amount in cash at the Main Entrance.
Cheques – Should be payable to the Malta Council For Science & Technology.
Credit card – We accept payment from all major credit cards.

Esplora does not store credit card details.
No refunds can be given for pre-booked tickets.
Scheduled activities start and end on time. We are unable to allow visitors entrance into any scheduled activity once it has begun, as doing so disrupts the activity and reduces the quality of the experience for those who arrive on time.
In the case of late arrival for a scheduled event, visitors will be able to experience the exhibitions during opening hours, however, the booking for the scheduled event will be forfeited.
Esplora is open to the public and we encourage our visitors to take photos of their experience to share on social media.
Food and drink may only be consumed in designated areas. No food and drink is allowed during scheduled activities nor in exhibition spaces.
Each activity is purposely designed by the Education Programme Team for a specific age range and respective development stage. Capacity numbers indicate the optimal number of visitors for each activitiy. We are unable to accomodate more visitors than the maximum capacity for quality and H&S safety reasons.
Parents, carers and accompanying adults are repsonsble for the well being and behaviour of the children in their care. We reserve the right to ask any visitor to leave Esplora should they be a nuisance to other visitors, pose a threat to harm themselves or others, or damage the exhibitions or site. Any neglient or willful misuse of exhibits will not be tolerated.
It is the parents, carers and accompanying adults’ responsibly to advise our staff at booking stage of any children with special needs. This is required so that the necessary adapted resources be made available whenever possible.
Esplora activities are delivered in English, however, Presenters and Explainers code-switch between English and Maltese according to demand.
Children and supervising adults are requested to use bathroom facilities before and after, rather than during scheduled activities to reduce unnecessary disturbance.
All mobile phones and devices must be turned off/put on silent during science shows and workshops.
No smoking is allowed on site, both indoors and outdoors, except in the outdoor area of the EsploraCafé.
Service dogs are welcome to Esplora, however, no pets are allowed.
