Does your child have a curious appetite for STEM subjects, meaning Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics? Would you be interested in delving a little deeper to discover what your child’s keen interest in STEM subjects can eventually lead to? Do you picture your child pursuing a career carved from a STEM subject? Would you like your children to engage with STEM professionals and get a taste of what it is like to work in these industries? We will find out all of this while having fun so here is how.

Event Prices:
On the 9th and 10th of May, science shows, workshops, or planetarium films will not be offered to encourage students to take full advantage of the opportunity to engage with the different exhibitors.
Over the weekend (11th and 12th of May), Esplora science shows and workshops will still be offered alongside free admission to the Planetarium interactive exhibits and engagement with the exhibitors in attendance. Tickets will be available from the Esplora reception on a first-come, first-served basis.
KurżitàJiem portrays the results of research conducted by local researchers and provides a platform for children to inquire about their career paths. The event itself will take place at Esplora in an environment which by its very nature entices curiosity, creativity, and imagination! Expect to meet exhibitors from research-performing organisations, government bodies and NGOs, and interact with them via engaging, hands-on activities which will undoubtedly spur a keen interest in STEM subjects. This interactive style of engagement will aim to provide KurżitàJiem subscribers with an insight into unconventional STEM careers.
Besides enticing future STEM professionals to pursue a career in STEM, we will also endeavour to raise awareness about the ongoing STEM research conducted locally by researchers and academics at the University of Malta (UM) and The Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST), as well as the involvement of NGOs in STEM research. This event will also provide STEM professionals with an opportunity to display their research or career opportunities and narrow the gap between people and the scientific world.
During these thematic days, everyone will be able to discover different projects and interact with STEM professionals to learn more about how research helps us understand better the relevance of STEM subjects in better equipping future generations with the skills needed for future employment opportunities that are mostly governed by the principles underlying STEM.
