The Marine Biology Summer Camp gives young minds the opportunity to learn about the beautiful seas which surround Malta. The lessons will introduce what is in our oceans, the habitats which sustain life, and describe the natural systems which make one ocean different from the other. Students will also look at ways in which we can conserve our oceans, protect the fish stocks that act as a valuable food source, and understand the industries that depend on the seas. The course will wrap up by exploring ways in which citizens can help safeguard this precious resource from human influences such as plastic and pollution.
Whether you are a young person considering a career in marine biology, or a secondary level student who’d just like to know more about Malta’s fascinating marine wildlife, this course promises to be a great introduction. Run over the course of 5 days, this camp covers a wide range of marine topics, including hands-on demonstrations of techniques regularly used by marine biologists. This unique course is available to students through our marine biology summer camp and it will be facilitated by local Marine Biologists and Science Communicators in collaboration with AquaBioTech Group.
