Christmas time is when families come together to experience moments of joy and togetherness. With this thought in mind, this year, Esplora will encourage families to spend more time together in a Christmas atmosphere through the promotion Milied man-Nanniet.
Let’s say it, what could be better than spending some time with your grandchildren? During this promotion, whcih will run from the 1st till 22nd December 2021, two children aged 0 to 15 years, will be able to enter Esplora for free if you present your ID Card 60+ or Kartanzjan, at the reception upon entry!
During this period, the centre will be transformed with decorations and all the scientific activities will be Christmas-themed. This is what we have planned for you:
Science Shows
Weatherology | Although the lowest temperature recorded in Malta is around 1oC, we still tend to associate Christmas with snow and very cold weather as we see in the movies. However Christmas celebrations are different, depending on which country you live in! This science show, will give you an opportunity to travel around the world and explore the weather and climate of various favourite Christmas destination.
Body Wonders | Explore the human body through this fun science show and learn how our digestive system works. Our science communicators will show you the full process of the food digestion from when its eaten until it is fully digested and finally eliminated from the body.
EsploraPlanetarium Show
Wonders of the Night Sky: Christmas Edition | Look up and discover all the constellations that appear from Malta if we didn’t have so much light pollution. Would you like to see how the sky will be on Christmas Eve? With this fantastic show, you will also be able to discover how the astronauts on the International Space Station (ISS) celebrate Christmas.
