The 48-hour singathon organised by local artist Ozzy Lino, with the support of Xjenza Malta, has come to an end, raising funds for three local entities working in the field of mental health. This 48-hour singathon by Ozzy Lino, accompanied by several local artists, was one of resilience, hope, courage, and greater awareness of mental health.
The singathon, a first to be held at the Esplora Planetarium Hall was organised in aid of the Richmond Foundation, Caritas, and the Mental Health Association Gozo.
At the end of the singathon, Xjenza Malta’s Chief Executive Officer, Silvio Scerri, stated that:
“Xjenza Malta is always open to supporting initiatives of this kind. As an entity, we are committed to continuing to work to increase awareness about mental health through the means at our disposal. This was a display of resilience by Ozzy Lino, who was the driving force behind this singathon, and he deserves praise for the great effort he sustained over the 48 hours to ensure this initiative was a great success.”
Xjenza Malta thanks everyone who contributed in any way possible to this worthy cause.
“Thank you to everyone. I am emotional and happy that we were able to make this contribution. Together, we can break this very unfair stigma,” concluded CEO Silvio Scerri.
Ozzy Lino also expressed words of praise for the Chief Executive Officer Silvio Scerri. He said that whenever he approached the CEO, he found him to be a great source of support, as he believed in the just cause of increasing awareness and providing help to those in need in the field of mental health.
