Esplora Interactive Science Centre is inviting members of the public and stakeholders to review its Draft Strategy 2030 and contribute their feedback before the strategy is finalised.
Building on Esplora’s achievements since opening in 2016, the draft strategy sets out a vision for Esplora to become Malta’s national platform for STEAM engagement across generations. It aims to broaden participation beyond children and schools by creating meaningful opportunities for teenagers, adults, families, communities, educators, researchers, artists, industry representatives and lifelong learners.
The strategy is guided by the vision:
Inspiring curious minds to shape our future through STEAM.
It is structured around five strategic foundations:
· Nurturing curiosity
· Enabling discovery
· Empowering active citizenship
· Embedding the STEAM approach
· Creating spaces that spark imagination
These foundations will be supported through four strategic pillars focusing on programming, visitor experience, partnerships and infrastructure.
The draft strategy has already been informed by feedback gathered from Esplora employees, stakeholders, partners and collaborators through focus groups, interviews and surveys. Esplora is now opening the process to the wider public so that the final strategy reflects the experiences, needs and aspirations of the people and communities it serves.
