The current shortfall of STEM skilled workers coupled with the new STEM roles expected to evolve in the next 10 years will result in missed opportunities and a broader skills gap. These missed opportunities might also negatively impact Malta’s ever-growing economic sector.
The Malta Council for Science & Technology, the University of Malta and the Malta College of Arts Science & Technology, in close liaison with various other stakeholders, have embarked on a tripartite approach in relation to STEM engagement.
The NSEC conference will kick-start this holistic drive to bridge the skills gap in STEM.
