Esplora will team up with the Malta Carnival to hold the Carnival@Esplora event on Saturday 18th February 2017 and Sunday 19th February 2017 daytime. Esplora believes that Science is an integral part of everything around us and in all activities we engage in. One of the Centre’s aims is to try to help bridge the gap between Culture and the Sciences within the STEAM field.
So what can you do at Esplora for the Carnival weekend?
FameLab is a global communications competition that calls for scientists, mathematicians and engineers. It gives an opportunity to science enthusiasts to share their knowledge and engage the public in the most effective ways. In simply 3 minutes, each participant presents a concept on any topic of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. They will be judged by a professional panel of judges made up of local researchers, media personalities, and journalists on content, clarity and also charisma.
ON THE 10TH, 11TH, 17TH, 18TH AND 24TH DECEMBER, ESPLORA OPENS AT 2.30PM WITH OUR SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EVENTS IN THE ACTIVITY CENTRE AND SURPRISE PRESENTATIONS IN THE MAIN HALLS.
