The Multi-Sensory Room at Esplora offers a safe and welcoming space where individuals can immerse themselves in sensory experiences. It is designed to stimulate engagement, promote calm and support self-regulation, through a variety of sensory inputs. The room can be particularly beneficial for individuals with physical, cognitive and sensory disabilities.
The Multi-Sensory Room can be included as part of your visit—whether you are attending with a school group, family or friends—or it can be booked as a dedicated session.
While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, booking in advance is highly recommended
so that the room can be prepared according to each individual’s needs.
A facilitator guide is available on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from October to July (except on public holidays). On these days only, the space is facilitated to ensure that each child or adult receives the support needed to fully benefit from the experience. Parents, guardians and teachers may remain in the room during these sessions where appropriate.
Sessions can be booked for up to 30 minutes, with some flexibility where possible. There is no additional charge. Bookings can be made by visiting the Esplora reception, calling 2360 2301, or emailing multisensory.esplora@gov.mt Please note that bookings are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
A user form must be completed to help us support individual needs.
