The CanSat Malta Competition is an exciting, hands-on space challenge for secondary and post-secondary students aged 14 to 18. Participants work in teams to design, build and launch a miniature satellite, known as a CanSat, that fits within the size of a standard drink can.
Under the guidance of an educator or a team leader, teams of between 4 and 6 students embark on a journey that mirrors the real process of developing a space mission; from design and construction to testing, launch and data analysis.
Through this challenge, students experience the complete lifecycle of a real space project while developing valuable skills in science, engineering, teamwork and problem-solving.
