The middle of July sees the celebration of the Kalkara festa of San Guzepp (St Joseph).
This religious celebration consists of the villagers coming together to share evenings of music, food and fireworks in true community spirit.
On Tuesday 14th July an evening of music from a repertoire of British Composers from John Barry to Andrew Lloyd Weber, was organised to start the week’s outdoor festivities, this was held in the beautiful piazza outside the Kalkara band club “Circolo San Giuseppe Filarmonika Sagra Familija”. During the evening, MCST Executive Chairman Dr. Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando presented the keys for the newly built store ‘Mahzen’ to the President of the Band Club.
